Swahili Imports Benevolence Partners

We value the African mentality of accomplishing more by involving a whole community. In August 2006, we began raising funds for selected African non-profit organizations under our Partners program.

Our partners are non-profit organizations that employ a sustainable, hands-on approach to development in regions where our artisans live and work. The mission of our partners program is two-fold: to educate our community of customers about these vital non-profits, and to get our customers involved in allocating Swahili donations.

While making purchases online, in our stores or at gift shows, shoppers choose one of our current partners to receive a $1 retail or $5 wholesale donation from Swahili Imports.

Since August of 2006, our customers have directed over $10,000 to our past partners, the Harambee Centre, Global Partners for Development and Aid to Artisans, as well as to our current partners, the Makindu Children's Program, Friends of Kenya Schools and Wildlife, and our newest partner, Caravan to Class. Even better, through our Partners program, many individuals have been educated about these organizations and their positive work in African communities.

Please take a few moments to learn about our partners. Then, during checkout, watch for the invitation to choose a partner to receive a Swahili donation.

Thanks for being a caring member of the Swahili community!
