This pared-down pencil box is handmade from African kisii soapstone mined in the Tabaka hills of western Kenya. The Gusii tribe cut rough forms from large blocks using a panga knife, then carve the detailed piece using a kisu knife. Fun for storing loose change, pens and pencils or any other small personal belongings, or use it as an attractive gift box.
