Wolof women have honed their basket weaving skills through many generations, and craft these beautiful baskets using traditional Wolof technique with a modern twist. About 20 years ago, someone introduced strips of plastic from a Dakar factory that produces mats, and the women adapted their baskets to include this new binding material. Available in three sizes.
