Here's the plain version of our Zimbabwe/South Africa kiaat wooden bowls for those who prefer a pattern-free serving option. Hand carved from kiaat or Rhodesian teak by artisans in the Bulawayo region of Zimbabwe, each bowl features nothing more than natural grain and the contrast between sapwood and heartwood. Thanks to our friend Anton, who lives in the northern Limpopo region of South Africa, these challenged Zimbabwean artisans are able to earn income by exporting their bowls to appreciative homes around the world.
