Cimbirre, or simbirre, is also known as Lebombo ironwood and mecrusse. It is an incredibly hard wood native to southern Africa and Madagascar that is used extensively for flooring and construction near sea water. Cimbirre trees exist almost exclusively in cimbirre woodlands. Since the wood is so hard, artisans can often salvage wood from trees that have been grounded for several years.
These polished wood of these natural vases has a beautiful blonde coloration that contrasts nicely with the rough inner bark of the cimbirre tree.
Available in two sizes, these vases are great for holding dried flower arrangement. We also have a matching candle holder to complete the ensemble.
