For years now, we've been buying baskets from a group of Ugandan women living in Kenya and Uganda. The women earn income for their families by sharing the beauty of traditional Ugandan basket weaving with customers worldwide.

These beautiful new Ugandan raffia baskets feature a vibrant interplay of aquamarine and cream tones. The dyed and natural raffia strips are wrapped around local grasses and stalks of banana palm leaves, so producing baskets has no negative effect on the environment and allows women to earn supplemental income with little expense.
