In northern Kwa-Zulu Natal, a grassroots group effort is bringing hope and income to many unemployed Zulu people. Applying traditional Zulu weaving skills to a contemporary new medium--telephone wire--the men and women of Senzokuhle Wire Company craft incredible, museum-quality baskets. Through the fair trade of their baskets, the need to disrupt families to find migrant work is slowly diminishing, and Zulu people are gaining pride in the emergence of a new craft form that extols their unique culture.
