Terms of service

With a rotating inventory of more than 3000 products available for purchase, it's easy to become overwhelmed. We want you to have a pleasant shopping experience, so we strive to make shopping our site fast, easy and painless.

Our wholesale order minimum is $100.

We work directly with artisans in Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

Swahili is a member of the Fair Trade Federation, and we adhere to fair trade principles when working with our artisan partners in Africa.

In order to view wholesale pricing and place orders, you must be buying for a registered business or organization with the intent to resell our products through a store or online catalog.

**Please note that reselling Swahili products on Etsy and similar platforms is a violation of the platform's rules for handmade goods.

We ship orders via UPS ground, and charge you for the cost of shipping plus a small boxing fee. We are happy to send larger orders on pallets, if warranted.

We accept credit card payment for all orders. Net 30 terms are available for selected approved accounts after two years of positive purchase history or six completed orders, whichever comes first.

We strive to promptly ship orders from our warehouse in Eugene, Oregon. We typically ship orders within 7-10 business days after they are placed.

We strive to keep all items stocked in our warehouse. If an item is depleted, we will indicate its expected arrival date on the product's page.

A small selection of our items are available for sale direct to the general public at swahilimodern.com
