African laundry hampers bring amazing artisan craftsmanship into our living spaces. Our laundry hampers are handwoven by an association of more than 100 rural Wolof women in the West African nation of Senegal.

Using abundant and renewable cattail stalks bound with salvaged plastic strips procured from a local mat factory, the women hand weave each of these muted hampers to feature black, grey and cream squares against a white background.
